**UPDATE** NEVER KNOWN, NEVER FORGOTTEN Awarded in American Watercolor Society!!!

Never Known, Never Forgotten 14x11 Gouache on Illustration Board

I am very proud to say that my painting Never Known, Never Forgotten has been awarded the "Dong Kingman Award" in the American Watercolor Society's 142nd Annual International Exhibition! The show will take place from March 31st through April 26th, 2009 at the Salmagundi Club in New York (47 Fifth Ave. bet 11th and 12th St. New York, NY). The Awards Presentation will be made at the Society's Annual Dinner on Friday evening, April 24th, 2009 at the Salmagundi Club. I am very excited about this show and thrilled to be apart of it, and am deeply honored to selected for and award!! Keep posted for more information and pictures as I plan on attending the Show and Presentation Dinner in New York.

SECOND THOUGHTS Accepted into Richeson 75: Small Works 2009...

Second Thoughts 8.5x11 Gouache on Illustration Board

My painting Second Thoughts was accepted into the Richeson 75: Small Works 2009 Competition Exhibit. The show will be up from March 23rd through May 21st, 2009 at the Richeson School of Art & Gallery (557 Marcella St., Kimberly, Wisconsin 54136, 920.738.0744). My painting will also be displayed on their online exhibit, as well as printed in their Small Works Exhibit Catalog.

Three of my paintings (pictured above) have been juried into the Norris Gallery's Watercolor 09 Art Exhibit held at the Dellora A. Norris Cultural Arts Center (1040 Dunham Road, St. Charles, IL 60174). The show will take place from March 7th through May 2nd 2009. The Reception & Awards Ceremony will take place Sunday, April 19 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

IWS 2009 Show...

On January 16th, the Illinois Watercolor Society held the opening reception for their 2009 Illinois Watercolor Society's 25th Annual Open Juried Exhibition in Dixon, Illinois. My painting, The Mason was juried into the exhibition, allowing me to achieve Signature Membership in less than a year.
